Job Description
You need to drive automation for implementing scalable and robust applications. You would indulge your dedication and passion to build server-side optimization ensuring low-latency and high-end performance for the cloud deployed within datacenter. You should have sound knowledge of Openstack and Kubernetes domain.
Your OKR Summary
OKR means Objective and Key Results. As a DevOps Engineer, you will understand the overall movement of data in the entire platform, find bottlenecks, define solutions, develop key pieces, write APIs, and own deployment of those. You will work with internal and external development teams to discover these opportunities and to solve hard problems. You will also guide engineers in solving complex problems, developing acceptance tests, and reviewing the work and the test results.
What you will do
- Global Systems Responsibility:As a Senior DevOps Engineer, be responsible for systems used by customers across the globe.
- System Goal Setting:Set goals for the overall system and break them down into sub-system goals.
- Mentorship:Guide, motivate, and mentor architects on sub-systems, helping them achieve improvements with agility.
- Performance Optimization:Identify performance bottlenecks and provide solutions to optimize time and cost for build/test systems.
- Capacity Planning:Be a thought leader in capacity planning for software/hardware, internal/public cloud, solving trade-offs between turnaround time and utilization.
- Massively Parallel Systems:Introduce technologies enabling massively parallel systems to improve turnaround time significantly.
What you will need
- Ownership, Urgency, and Drive:A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Educational Background:BS or BE/B.Tech in EE/CS or equivalent experience with 4+ years of industry experience.
- Cloud Technology Expertise:Excellent background in cloud technologies such as OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Ceph.
- Hybrid and Multi-cloud Architecture Knowledge:Deep understanding of hybrid, multi-cloud architecture, and edge computing concepts.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to identify bottlenecks and come up with optimized solutions.
- Programming Skills:Proficient in Python and Shell scripting with a solid understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs.
- Database Expertise:Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
- Containerization and Virtualization:In-depth knowledge of Docker containers and virtual machines.
- Cross-team Collaboration:Ability to work across organizational boundaries and maximize productivity between teams.
- International Collaboration:Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.
